Sibley fears a lack of funding could ruin her chances of competing

Warwickshire table tennis player Kelly Sibley says she may not be able to compete at the London 2012 Olympics unless she can guarantee sponsorship.

Despite being Great Britain's highest ranked female player, the 22-year-old has lost her funding from UK Sport.

"The consequences of not getting any would greatly inhibit my chances of competing against the top players in the world," said Sibley.

"Sponsorship would help with training, travelling and living expenses."

She added: "To not be able to continue training at the highest level due to lack of funds available would be truly devastating."

Sibley has represented England at two Commonwealth Games which included a fourth place finish in the team women's event in Delhi this year.

She also gained a ladies doubles bronze medal at the 2009 Commonwealth Championships and a Division Two gold medal at the 2008 World Team Championships.
