Jersey have won silver in the table tennis team event at the Island Games in Aland, with rivals Guernsey only managing to win bronze. Jersey overcame the odds to beat Guernsey 4-3 in the semi-finals and win a place against Gotland in the final. Gotland then proved too strong for Jersey in the final, winning 4-3 to claim gold. In the third-place play-off, Guernsey thrashed Greenland 7-0 to pick up the bronze medal.
