Highlights - Adlington edges out Jackson
Rebecca Adlington and Jo Jackson produced one of the fastest-ever 800m freestyle races at the Scottish National Championships in Glasgow.
Olympic champion Adlington just held off her close friend and rival to win in eight minutes 16.81 seconds.
Jackson, neck and neck with Adlington for 700m, smashed her own personal best by more than six seconds to finish in 8:17.81 - the fourth-fastest 800m ever.
Adlington's time was less than three seconds outside her own world record.
The bronze medal went to Jazz Carlin in 8:27.81.
"I really didn't expect that time," she admitted. "It is the fastest I have been without resting and that is great.
"I wanted to stick with Jo as much as possible. It's so good that we push each other on. I wouldn't want anyone else up there with me."
Jackson said she was "pretty shocked" by her new PB, adding: "Becky pulled me through that race but with only 100m left she pulled away and I didn't have anything left."
The men's 400m freestyle saw Olympic silver medallist David Davies put in a storming final 50m to beat Robbie Renwick by a second.
The Welshman lay in fifth after the first turn and battled hard to move up the field. He still trailed Scotland's Renwick at the penultimate turn.
But Davies overhauled his opponent in the closing stages to take victory in 3:48.69. Renwick finished in 3:49.92, with Chris Alderton third (3:51.50).
Scotland's Hannah Miley swam to her second gold of the competition with in the women's 200m individual medley.
