AIB Tigers Swimming Club won back the annual Four-Way meet trophy at Les Quennevais pool on Saturday. The Tigers lost the trophy to Guernsey's Beau Sejour last year, but easily won it back. Tigers, who make up the majority of the Jersey Island team finished first on 181 points, with Beau Sejour on 156. With only three weeks until the XIII Island Games in Aland, the win was the perfect preparation for the Tigers swimmers who will be taking part. Guernsey Swimming Club chose not to compete this year, while Jersey Swimming Club finished third on 105 points. | It's always nice to beat Guernsey before the Island Games as well and I think the guys are looking really good at the moment |
Tigers and Jersey Island Games coach Nathan Jegou was more than pleased with his swimmers three weeks away from the Aland Games. "They all swam well today and it's a great confidence boost going into the Aland Games," he said. "It's going to be tough with some world class swimming there."
