We've all done it sometime in our lives - some of us are embarrassed having done it, some are proud of it, and some of us are still doing it.
That's right - autograph hunting.
Has Davis been running away from Murphy? |
One fan of the old 'signature stealing' is semi-finalist Shaun Murphy, who before becoming one of snooker's glitterati used to be a groupie outside the Crucible stage door.
"When I was nine I chased Steve Davis up the road to ask for his autograph. He hasn't asked for mine yet," he said.
Let's be honest, some of the snooker played at The Crucible lately has been... well... less than entertaining.
But events in the auditorium livened up during the match between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Peter Ebdon.
Okay, best to avoid most of the histrionics that left a bitter taste in some people's mouths.
There actually was a bright moment when Ebdon wildly mis-hit a pink and then put referee Colin Brinded's glasses on - it was actually funny at the time.
