Mark Williams 9-2 Stephen Hendry Frame 11 Frame 10 Frame nine First session Mark Williams has one foot firmly in the semi-finals after playing some of the most fluent snooker seen so far in York during his match against close friend Stephen Hendry. Superb break building and excellent safety helped Williams secure a 7-1 lead ahead of this evening's final session. The world number two first came to the boil in the third frame where he hit 93 and followed that with a 119 to go 4-0 up. Runs of 78, 70 and 73 then helped him go seven clear before Hendry took the last of the session with a break of 79. |
