Guernsey youngster Max Barber has gained a spot on the British Cadet Rifle Team, known as the Athelings. The team consists of 18 young shooters from around the country, competing both in the UK and abroad. Barber's selection comes of the back of four years of competing for Guernsey's Elizabeth College Combined Cadet Force. The Sarnian youngster became the first shooter from the island to win the Cadet Grand aggregate at the 2010 UK School's Meeting at Bisley.
