 Richard Chambers struck gold in Sunday's final in Germany |
Richard Chambers has won a gold medal at the World Cup regatta in Munich. He was a member of the Great Britain men's lightweight fours team which held off runners-up Denmark and third-placed Czech Republic who had led at halfway. Chambers, Paul Mattick, Rob Williams and Chris Bartley had lost out to the Danes in Slovenia in May. Alan Campbell had to settle for fifth place in the final of the single sculls which was won by Ondrej Synek of the Czech Republic. Peter Chambers was sixth in Saturday's lightweight single sculls final.
