Coleraine rowers Alan Campbell and Richard Chambers had to settle for silver medals at the opening World Cup regatta of the season in Slovenia.
Campbell was beaten in second place by the Czech Republic's Ondrej Synek in the single scull final in Bled.
Synek took victory in 6:49.58 - over four seconds ahead of Campbell (6:53.76) with Marcel Hacker in third.
Chambers and his British lightweight four team-mates finished over a second behind Denmark in their final.
Denmark took the win in 6:02.49 ahead of Britain (6:03.96) and Italy (6:05.01).
Chambers' brother Peter and his double sculls partner Ben Rowe missed out on Sunday's A final after finishing sixth in their semi-final on Saturday.
Fermanagh woman Karen Cromie and her Irish team-mates finished fourth in the adaptive fours final, which was won by Britain ahead of Germany and the Ukraine.
Campbell had finished over three seconds ahead of Olympic silver medallist Synek in Saturday's semi-final but the Czech rower comprehensively turned the tables on Sunday.
Campbell - back after a mountain bike crash in South Africa in January, which saw him hospitalised and temporarily blinded - stopped just before the line and was fortunate to hold off German veteran Marcel Hacker.
World champion Mahe Drysdale did not compete in Slovenia because of a back injury.
GB's lightweight new men's four combination of Chambers, Paul Mattick, Rob Williams and Chris Bartley just lost out in a thrilling battle with 2009 world silver medallists Denmark, who lifted their stroke rate over a blistering 45 per minute.
