Campbell and Archibald in finals
Alan Campbell
Campbell won the opening World Cup event in Munich
Coleraine rowers Alan Campbell and Richard Archibald both safely came through their semi-finals at the Lucerne World Cup regatta on Saturday.

British single sculler Campbell was third in Saturday's semi-final after winning his heat on Friday.

Archibald and team-mates Gearoid Towey, Eugene Coakley and Paul Griffin won their lightweight men's four semi-final after also winning their heat.

Both crews have claimed a win and a second in the opening World Cup events.

Victories this weekend would secure the World Cup titles for Campbell and the Irish boat.
