Defending champions Team Bath will host Surrey Storm in the first match of the Netball Superleague play-offs. Team Bath won 59-27 at Glasgow Wildcats to secure third spot in the table ahead of the Storm, who drew their final game 48-48 against Hertfordshire Mavericks. And that point proved enough for the Mavericks to claim top spot ahead of Northern Thunder, who have one game remaining but are three points adrift. Mavericks will host Thunder in the play-off for a final spot. The losers of that meeting will play the winners of the Team Bath versus Storm game to determine the second finalists. The same four teams made the play-offs last season with second-placed Team Bath coming through to beat fourth-placed Mavericks in the final for their fourth Superleague title. There is one game left in the regular season, with Thunder due to host bottom side Glasgow Wildcats on Sunday 22 May, but the result will have no bearing on the league standings.
