Team Northumbria took charge in the second half to claim a 48-34 win over Northern Thunder in the Superleague. The visitors were inspired by a perfect 13 from 13 after the break from goal attack Lesley MacDonald, ably supported by playmaker Karin O'Connell.
O'Connell also found goal shooter Ala Mailulu in space on numerous occasions as the hosts were pinned back.
Northumbria stay in fifth place in the Superleague table with one week of the regular season remaining.
The last round of games takes place next weekend, with the play-offs starting on 26 May.
The Grand Final will take place in Guildford on 9 June.
