Celtic Dragons produced a strong final quarter to defeat Leeds Met Carnegie 42-36 in an entertaining Netball Superleague match on Monday night. The Welsh side only led 31-27 after the third period but found the net more consistently in the final quarter while restricting the hosts' scoring.
The result leaves Leeds Met still seeking their first win of the season.
League leaders TeamBath made it 10 wins out of 10 with an 80-32 demolition of Northern Thunder on Saturday.
Mavericks climbed to second in the Superleague table with a 58-45 win over Team Northumbria.
Joanna Harten and Louisa Browfield fired Mavericks to victory, while Northumbria's Alanieta Evans-Maililu was kept quiet by Janet Coulburne.
Injury-hit Brunel fell to third as they were were beaten 33-42 by Loughborough, for whom Jade Clarke impressed.
