England completed a 3-0 series win over South Africa with a 56-25 victory at Wembley Arena. England led 18-6 at the first interval, with goal shooter Louisa Brownfield scoring 12 out of 12.
The team was unable to maintain that form and the 56 goals was England's lowest score of the series.
Coach Marg Caldow said: "Defensively, I thought we were excellent tonight - it was a superb effort - but I felt our attack suffered at times as a result."
Goalkeeper Geva Mentor was named player of the match as she restricted South Africa's Sindi Gumede, the world's tallest international shooter, to only 14 goals in the match.
Brownfield was top scorer for England with 34 goals from 38 attempts.
