New Zealand have agreed to host the 2007 World Netball Championships, which were removed from Fiji following its recent military coup. The event was to be held in July, but has now been rescheduled for November.
"The only member able to commit was Netball New Zealand," said International Federation of Netball Associations president Molly Rhone.
"New Zealand felt that a postponement until November would give them adequate time to prepare."
Military leaders in Fiji seized control of the country and dismissed the democratically-elected government on Tuesday.
England had toured Fiji last summer in preparation for the Worlds, winning both their matches.
