Coburn has scored 30 points already in his rookie season
Hull Stingrays rookie forward Andrew Coburn is hoping to earn a contract for next season at the Hull Arena.
The 24-year-old Canadian has scored 12 Elite League goals this season and wants to stay at the club.
He told BBC Radio Humberside: "I love it here and as my first time abroad and rookie season, I'm just hoping to get better and have them want me back.
"I'm just being a sponge and learning and just trying to contribute what I can every game."
Coburn was a summer wild card pick straight out of the University of Alabama in the USA and says he feels as though he has got better and better as the season has unfolded.
"I started out playing a more defensive role but lately I've been playing more offensively and getting a few more goals which is good for me," he added.
