Cardiff Devils consolidated their position at the top of the Elite League with a 3-1 victory over Hull Stingrays.

Jon Pelle gave Cardiff an early lead at the Cardiff Bay Ice Arena before a strike in the first 15 seconds of the second period from Stuart MacRae.

Trevor Read pulled a goal back for the Stingrays but Mark Richardson secured the win with a third-period goal.

Cardiff lead Sheffield and Belfast by three points at the Elite League summit with a second win of the weekend.
