Rob Bellamy upbeat despite poor Nottingham Panthers run

Nottingham Panthers forward Rob Bellamy insists the team are playing well, despite a run of just five wins from their last 14 matches.

Panthers have slipped to fourth in the Elite League table.

Wednesday's Challenge Cup game with league leaders Cardiff Devils - which Panthers must draw or win to progress - has become even more significant.

Bellamy told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We are playing pretty good - we're not getting the results but we'll be okay."

Panthers, who beat Cardiff in last year's Challenge Cup final, have won the tournament three times in total.

Cardiff's 22-game winning streak came to an end at the weekend when they lost on penalty shots to Dundee Stars.
