St Pierre helped the Panthers reach the semi-finals of the play-offs last season |
Nottingham Panthers have re-signed netminder Kevin St Pierre as short-term cover for the injured Craig Kowalski. St Pierre, 35, helped Panthers to Challenge Cup success last season but despite initially agreeing a new deal, he then announced his retirement. Panthers swooped for Kowalski and the American keeper has been in superb form but injured his groin in Saturday's bench-clearance brawl against Coventry. "I am thrilled to be coming back to help the club out," St Pierre said. "The Panthers have a special place in my heart and it was such a tough decision to pull out of the deal in the summer. "It is great to be coming back to the city for a while and I hope I can play a part in the club winning silverware this season."
