Blaze coach Paul Thompson had warned his players about Edinburgh

Coventry Blaze witnessed their 12-match winning run come to an end with a 7-5 defeat at Edinburgh Capitals.

The damage was done in the second period with five unanswered goals, through Chris St Jacques (2), Neil Hay, Jacques Perrault and Alex Kim.

Blaze had led 3-1 through Dan Carlson, Owen Fussey and Brad Cruickshank, with Nick Fanto scoring for Capitals.

Jason Robinson and Russ Cowley scored for Blaze in the final period, but Adam Taylor netted a seventh in between.
