Thompson remains focussed on Coventry Blaze

Coventry Blaze coach Paul Thompson does not believe part-owning their weekend opposition, Hull Stingrays, will be a major issue.

Thompson is one of four from the Blaze management team that bailed out Stingrays on the eve of the season.

"They've got their own coaching and management group over there," he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire

"It is a strange situation but I'm totally focused on us winning. It's as simple as that."

Blaze, currently on an 11-match winning run in the Elite League, head for Yorkshire on Saturday before the two teams clash at the Skydome the following day.
