Paul Thompson's Coventry Blaze have yet to register a win this season

Coventry Blaze ended a run of four defeats with a 3-3 draw against Nottingham Panthers in the Challenge Cup at the Skydome on Sunday.

Having been beaten 6-4 in Nottingham the night before, Blaze were dealt another blow when they lost netminder Brett Jaeger to illness.

The Canadian suffered a bout of food poisoning and was absent as Brad Zanon put Coventry ahead.

Goals from Luke Fulghum and Owen Fussy helped Blaze earn a point in Group B.
