Stewart was an Elite League champion with Coventry last season |
Newcastle Vipers head coach Danny Stewart has reassured fans the club is actively seeking to bolster its roster for the 2010-11 season. Vipers have seven players on their books but Stewart is keen to add to the ranks for the forthcoming campaign. "I am aware that supporters would like to hear constant news of signings," Stewart said. "We will have some signings to announce, both import signings and a couple of local players." Stewart added: "We want to show our supporters that we are keen to rebuild the team and develop the younger local talent in that process. "The key this summer will be patience. I have continually said that and I want to stick by that ideal." Stewart's appointment as Vipers coach this season is his first role in management, having left Elite League champions Coventry Blaze to take up the post.
