Sheffield Steelers are to retire the number 26 shirt of their former defenceman Ron Shudra. Shudra, who retired from the sport five years ago, spent 11 seasons at the club, and helped the Steelers achieve the grand slam back in 1996. The Steelers will officially retire 'Rocket' Ron's shirt in a special ceremony before the Nottingham Panthers game on Saturday, 20 March. Shudra, who now coaches Sheffield's juniors, played 453 league games.
