Three second-half goals in 10 minutes helped high-flying Rochdale to an easy victory over Rotherham.
Striker Chris Dagnall scored an early opener when he converted Chris O'Grady's cross in the ninth minute.
Former Dale man Adam Le Fondre twice went close but Rotherham fell further behind when Jamie Green turned a O'Grady shot past his own goalkeeper.
Craig Dawson nodded in a Ciaran Toner corner to make it three before the impressive O'Grady poked in the fourth.
Rotherham United manager Ronnie Moore tells BBC Radio Sheffield: "My emotions are heartache and bitter disappointment. We started so well so to finish the game 4-0 is disappointing.
"There were times in the game when we played some really good stuff but you cannot defend the way we defended.
"We've had loads of chances from set-plays but we needed to die for the cause and we didn't do that."
