Coventry moved one point clear at the top of the Elite League after beating Hull Stingrays twice at the weekend. Blaze won in Hull 5-4 on Friday night before beating the Stingrays 5-3 at the Skydome on Saturday. Coventry have three games in hand over local rivals Nottingham Panthers, who lost 3-2 at Cardiff on Saturday after beating them 10-3 the night before. Paul Thompson's side play one of their games in hand on Wednesday when they host Edinburgh Capitals.
