Coventry Blaze have kept their place at the top of the Elite League with a 4-2 win over Newcastle Vipers. Blaze lost two early goals but forced a comeback through strikes from Luke Fulghum, Greg Chambers, Derek Campbell and Danny Stewart. "Good teams respond and that is a good team, we put on a great offensive show," coach Paul Thompson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. Blaze are now level on points with Nottingham but have four games in hand. Coventry's next game is against Edinburgh Capitals, who are currently sixth in the table.
