Nottingham Panthers were 'embarrassing' - Richardson

Nottingham Panthers assistant coach Bruce Richardson has described the 5-1 defeat at Edinburgh as "embarrassing".

Marc Levers got Nottingham's only goal in Scotland as the Panthers run of four successive wins came to an end.

Richardson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It was embarrassing, these guys just didn't compete.

"Our powerplay right now is struggling and it's killing us. To win some games and to win trophies your powerplay needs to be the best."

Panthers play Edinburgh again on Saturday at the National Ice Centre, with Richardson and coach Corey Neilson considering whether to make changes.

Richardson said: "It's a tough situation. Do we go and panic on one loss when we're in a good position?

"I think that's going to be evaluated by Corey and he's going to make that final decision."
