Parrish is hoping to take the Dynamos to a seventh straight league title |
Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish has said their first defeat of the season proved to be real a "wake-up call". The Mo's lost 4-3 at Bracknell Hornets on Saturday to end their run of nine straight wins. But they responded by thrashing Peterborough 11-2 on Sunday. "It's probably done us the world of good. No-one likes to lose games," Parrish told BBC Radio Kent. "But it's probably given us a bit of a wake-up call that we need to be in games 110 per cent every time we play. Parrish added: "We probably believed a little bit more of our hype than we should have done. He added: "It was always going to be a tough fixture at Bracknell, it's a big rink - Olympic sized ice. I think some of the boys didn't prepare properly from Thursday onwards and it showed on Saturday. "I don't mind if we lose games if we put our heart and soul into it but I didn't feel we did that on Saturday. But we bounced back on Sunday so it shows the character of the team."
