Invicta Dynamos continued their perfect start to the season by taking maximum points against the Wightlink Raiders and Streatham Redskins. They made it eight wins from eight with an 8-4 victory away at the Raiders and then thrashed the Redskins 13-2. "If someone had said to me have four points from this weekend I would have taken their hand off," coach Kevin Parrish told BBC Radio Kent. "To get a draw on the Isle of Wight, I would have been very happy with that." "But a win and then a win against Streatham tops off a great weekend for us," said Parrish. At the start of the season Parrish played down his side's chances of winning a seventh straight league title - instead tipping the Wightlight Raiders to take their crown. | Now we know we're up there and we've just got to keep our level heads for the rest of the season |
But after their recent performance, he believes the Medway side are now the ones to beat. "I think we've put ourselves maybe a little bit ahead of them now," said Parrish. "It was definitely a great win. You don't normally go to the island and get victories to be honest. "Talking to their coach on the way back to Portsmouth, I think he was a bit shocked at what we had. "He didn't expect us to be as quick as we were and he didn't realise we would matching them in the physical side. "He realised we had a good team and said it was going to be hard competing with us. Whether he was playing mind games or not I don't know. "The Isle of Wight are still going to be up there because it's a very hard rink to play at. "They shouldn't really lose many more games there, but hopefully just one more when we go there again. "Now we know we're up there and we've just got to keep our level heads for the rest of the season."
