Nottingham Panthers returned to the top of the Elite League table with a 5-3 victory over Edinburgh Capitals.
Bruce Richardson scored twice and there was a goal each for Dominic D'Amour, Jade Galbraith and David Clarke, as Panthers had to come from 2-nil down.
Richardson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "To win games at this time of the year you have to show passion and I think we did that.
"We went to the net and we went to get the puck in the corners."
Panthers had the worst possible start falling two down to goals from Simon Lambert and Scott McKenzie by the end of the first period.
Four unanswered goals changed the game as Panthers eventually out-shot the visitors 61-24.
D'Amour scored from the left circle to close the gap, before Galbraith's clever shot off the netminder from the red line made it 2-2 after two sessions.
A superb feed from Kevin Bergin set up Clarke midway through the final period and Richardson latched on to Galbraith's pass for a fourth Panthers goal.
Lambert closed the gap with his second of the night, but Richardson sealed the win with an empty net goal.
He added: "We started a little bit sloppy and maybe that was due to guys panicking and trying to create things, but after that we just kept our calm and did our job.
"When you get 61 shots on net there is no way you are going to lose."
