Newcastle Vipers have added American defenceman Tyler Kindle to their squad for the 2009/10 Elite League season. Kindle, 31, joins the Vipers from ECHL side Stockton Thunder and has signed a one-year contract with the option of a second season. He will join up with the Vipers in mid-August for their pre-season camp. Kindle scored 98 points in 140 games in the NCAA with Wayne State University before turning professional in 2003 with Pensacola.
