Perry made 91 appearances for Newcastle, scoring one try |
London Irish have signed experienced second row forward Andy Perry on a one-year contract. The 34-year-old ex-Royal Marine joins from Newcastle Falcons where he has played since 2005. London Irish head coach Toby Booth said: "Physicality is a key requirement for any successful pack in the Guinness Premiership and the Heineken Cup. "Andy Perry has both physical presence and ability that augments our second row resources." London Irish moved to sign Perry when it became clear that another former Newcastle Falcon Andy Buist would be unable to fulfil his contract with Exiles due to his ongoing injury problems.
