Manchester Phoenix player-coach Tony Hand said he will insist on the best as he seeks new players for next season.

Hand has already filled his British roster but is taking his time finding the ideal European imports as Finn Jaakko Hagelberg is his sole deal.

"I've had offers out to players but for various reasons things have not worked out so far," he told the club website.

"But I won't be rushed on this because it is vital I bring in the right guys and players are weighing up options."
