Nottingham Panthers have made a new signing with the addition of French-Canadian centreman Martin Gascon. The 28-year-old spent last season playing in the Central Hockey League in the United States, with spells in Tulsa, Arizona and Mississippi. Coach Corey Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He brings skill and speed and he's got great passing awareness. "He has over a point a game in the Central Hockey League, and before that he tore the league up in France." Gascon is a former team-mate of Bruce Richardson, after the pair played together in Fort Wayne. Neilson added: "He will be the key passer on one of our top three lines. I am sure he will do very well - he's a new face and new blood. "He's a real smart young guy and I have real faith in him."
