Mark Gouett is to be offered a new deal at the Vipers |
Newcastle Vipers coach Rob Wilson has started assembling his roster for the 2009-10 Elite League ice hockey season. Canadian defenceman Chris McAllister will not be staying on Tyneside after his deal expired, although compatriot Mark Gouett will be offered a new deal. "Mark is one of the players I want to see stay at the Vipers next season," said Wilson. "I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised with the changes to the squad over the close season." McAllister was a 2008 offseason signing from American Hockey League side Hersheys Bears, while Gouett arrived on Tyneside from River Grande Killer Bees after a time with London Racers in 2007.
