Belfast Giants secured their second trophy in 10 days as they defeated Manchester Phoenix 7-5 on aggregate in the Knockout Cup Final. The Giants clinched a 4-2 win in Thursday's second leg at the Odyssey. David Beauregard put Phoenix ahead but George Awada levelled early in the middle period. Andrew Martin put the Giants ahead and while Josh Garbutt levelled, David Phillips and Paul Deniset scored to ensure Belfast's triumph. The sides drew 3-3 in the opening leg in Manchester on Sunday night. The Giants had also defeated Manchester over two legs in the Challenge Cup decider earlier this month.
