George Awada scored in the final minute for the Belfast Giants

Paul Deniset scored five goals as the Belfast Giants won for a third time in four days at the Odyssey.

The Giants raced into a 4-0 lead with Deniset securing a hat-trick while Colin Shields was also on target.

Hull halved the deficit before Deniset added two more goals to make it 6-2 but the Stingrays struck three times to leave just a goal between the sides.

Andrew Martin netted for Belfast only for Hull to reply again and it took a late George Awada goal to seal the win.

The Giants are back in action on Sunday (1800 GMT) with an away game against Edinburgh Capitals.
