Nottingham Panthers forward Dan Tessier has rejected a 36,000 move to Swedish club Nybro Vikings.

The Vikings wanted the 30-year-old to replace Canadian Chanse Fitzpatrick for two months.

Tessier told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I like it here - I like the guys here and I want to win a championship.

"I left before and I'm committed this year to stay here. It is an amazing offer but I want to stay for my family and the guys in the team."

Tessier added: "It is a great spot to be in right now and I'm having fun."

Panthers are five points off leaders Sheffield Steelers in the Elite League.

The 30-year-old, who has had spells in Switzerland, Germany and North America, re-signed for Panthers from rivals Sheffield Steelers in August.
