Goals from Robert Earnshaw and Paul Anderson helped Nottingham Forest cruise past Plymouth in Saturday's Championship match at the City Ground.
The visitors started well but Earnshaw opened the scoring with the Welshman slotting home an excellent free-kick from Lewis McGugan on the left.
Forest doubled the lead just after the interval when on-loan Liverpool winger Anderson fired in Nathan Tyson's cross.
Argyle had their chances with Marcel Seip twice going close with headers.
Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies on seeing his side make it two wins out of two since he took charge: "I could not have asked for a better start but we are certainly not getting carried away with it.
"When I arrived the aim was to make this football club safe in the Championship and that's still the aim.
"The important thing is we got three points against a well-organised side."
Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock: "We don't know where the next goal is coming from. It is putting a lot of pressure on us defensively.
"We have taken one point from five games which is relegation material.
"But we now have 10 days before our next game (against Bristol City) to sort ourselves out and get back to what we were doing earlier in the season."
