Nottingham Panthers are now seven points behind leaders and rivals Sheffield Steelers after a 4-2 defeat at Manchester Phoenix on Sunday. Panthers took the lead twice with goals from Brendan Cook and Kevin Bergin but Phoenix hit back with a brace from David Beauregard. Brett Cloutier gave Manchester the lead with eight minutes to go and Nathan Ward then sealed the victory. Panthers had more luck at home beating Coventry Blaze 4-1 on Saturday. Nottingham are in second place with 46 points - one point ahead of Belfast, who have a game in hand.
