Bracknell Bees overturned a two-goal first-period deficit to record a comfortable victory over Milton Keynes Lightning on Sunday. Finnish import Andre Smulter put MK a goal up after three minutes with Nick Poole doubling their advantage. But Bracknell fought back with three power-play goals as MK's penalty-killing unit dismally under-performed. Andrius Kaminskas and Jamie Line sealed the win despite Smulter adding his second as a late MK consolation. Lightning commanded the ice for much of the opening period, exposing a sluggish Bees defence on several occasions, and looked to be coasting when player-coach Poole scored their second of the night. But late in the period Bracknell ran rampant on the power-play against a woeful short-handed Lightning, allowing Tom Duggan to bundle home the Bees' first goal of the evening seconds before the break. Bracknell pressed home their advantage in the second period as Milton Keynes failed to bolster their defence, Peter Jasik and Joe Greener both scoring on the power-play to transform the game and hand the Bees a 3-2 lead. Lightning faded in the third period as Kaminskas scored a superb back-handed goal and Jamie Line settled the game with the Bees' fifth.
