Nottingham Panthers' winning Elite League run came to an end with a 6-5 defeat at Coventry Blaze on Sunday.

Player-coach Corey Neilson told the BBC: "My team worked really hard, they competed in the second and third period but there was no excuse for the first.

"Unfortunately we just couldn't string passes together and we were just reacting to a good offensive team."

The Panthers had enjoyed a narrow 5-4 home win over rivals Sheffield Steelers on Saturday.
