Captain Danny Meyers says Nottingham Panthers showed character to beat Manchester Phoenix 5-3 on Sunday after a lacklustre first period. Meyers told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We knew it would be a huge test. "We didn't have it all our own way in the first period but we didn't panic and I thought we responded well. "We sat down figured out what was going wrong and stuck by our game plan. We're very happy with this result. This is a big win for us." Following victories over Hull, Edinburgh and Newcastle, the Panthers stretched their 100 per cent record to four league games.
