Sheffield Steelers coach Dave Matsos says his side were "soft, lazy and gutting to watch" following their two defeats at the weekend.

Steelers lost 5-4 in Nottingham and then 3-2 to Manchester.

Matsos told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I can assure you that not one of those guys has come out of this weekend sore and to me that is not acceptable."

"It's a dirty man's job and everybody on this team has to do it for us to be successful," he added.

The Steelers led twice on both Saturday at Nottingham in the Elite League and at home to Manchester in the Challenge Cup on Sunday but were unable to hold on for victories on both occasions.
