Britain produced a much improved performance |
Great Britain beat Korea 4-1 for their first win of the World Championships to stave off the threat of relegation from the second tier, Division 1A. Britain had suffered losses to Poland and Austria earlier this week but held off strong Korean pressure. David Clarke opened the scoring from a rebound after just 89 seconds before David Longstaff added the second. Danny Meyers and Ashley Tait also scored, with Min Ho Cho popping home a consolation for the Koreans.
