 Peter Campbell scored but the Giants were beaten again |
The Belfast Giants saw their fading Elite League title challenge suffer another setback when they lost at home to Sheffield Steelers on Friday night. Victory would have taken the Giants level with leaders Coventry Blaze but they remain two points behind and have now played five games more.
Shaun Sutter, Peter Campbell and Ed Courtenay scored for the Belfast side.
Dan Tessier, Joe Talbot, Ryan Finnerty (2) and Ashley Tait (2) were on target for the Steelers.
It was a third successive defeat for the Giants who had previously won 16 matches ina row.
