The scene at Worcester racecourse during the 2007 floods |
Worcester racecourse officials say the wet weather in June and July has helped the course to recover from the damage caused by last year's floods. Racecourse official Jenny Cheshire told BBC Hereford and Worcester it is ironic that the wet spell has been key in the recovery of the track. "It has helped to ensure a covering of grass and the track is looking better than it has all season," she said. "One year on, we're just about back to where we were when the floods came."
