This year's L'Ancresse meeting will be shown on Racing UK |
The vice-president of the Guernsey Race Club says national television exposure for the club's May Bank Holiday meeting will help attract more trainers. Satellite channel Racing UK is to show the club's annual meeting at L'Ancresse held earlier this month. "I think's it's going to open the door to a lot of small English trainers," said Jim Jamouneau. "I can't see it'll do any harm, I think it'll do a wonderful amount of good," he said on BBC Radio Guernsey. The traditional meeting on the first bank holiday in May made a successful return in 2005 after a 13-year absence and has been a fixture in the island's sporting calendar ever since.
