Kirkham broke the deadlock in Saturday's victory

England's men made it two wins in two days over France with a 4-0 victory in the second international at Lilleshall.

England, who won the first match 2-1 on Friday, struggled in the opening half of Saturday's match, but hit four goals after the break to clinch the victory.

Glenn Kirkham, Iain Mackay, Rob Moore and Simon Mantell scored the goals.

Team manager Andy Halliday said: "It was a good result in the end, which is always good as we prepare to embark on the Commonwealth Games."

England will travel to Delhi next week to prepare for the Commonwealths with four practice matches against India and Australia, before their first match of the Games against Trinidad and Tobago on 6 October.

In Friday's match at Lilleshall, Simon Mantell and James Tindall scored the goals to secure a 2-1 win for a somewhat rusty England.

Captain Barry Middleton and defender Richard Mantell returned to the side after injuries, while 17-year-old Harry Martin made his debut.

Richard Mantell was playing his first competitive international since dislocating and fracturing his ankle against Pakistan at the World Cup in Delhi just over six months ago.

Middleton had missed the Champions Trophy in Germany last month with a broken toe.
